Clothesline
The final and most successful work in my windshield series. This piece hung for a fortnight enchanting and mesmerizing passers by on foot and in their cars. -
Bridges & Balloons
This was an attempt to enhance strangers experience of rush-hour traffic. I recruited a couple friends and released 2000 bright orange balloons under a historical bridge spanning Martin Luther King Blvd in Cleveland Ohio. -
Turbulent Drain
This was the entrance to my first solo show in 2006. Several truckloads of windshields were needed to get this effect. -
Broken Tether
This was a collaborative piece. We lampworked scores of glass figures and strung them together with copper wire. We attached them to 100 bright orange balloons and let it go in a 70' atrium. The piece would ascend into the rafters where the air was cooler. This would cause it to fall back to the floor where the air was warmer. This cycle continued for several hours capturing the attention of all passers by. Every now and again it would need a bit of help to assend at which point we would clip a figure from the strand and give it to an onlooker.
