BFA Thesis Work

My sculptures are hybrid, verbal–visual assemblages of found objects and manufactured components that hint at the messiness of everyday communication. I choose objects that play on the semantic relationships imbedded in the juxtaposition of old and new technologies and seek to explore the realization that our ability to make sense of data may merely be a restricted set of possible interactions. By contrasting logic with free-association I attempt to make the structure of significance apparent.
