Hyphae Cone

$3,595.00

While exploring natural growth patterns in rhizomes and fungi, Uri became fascinated with the actions of fungi - how they can break down matter and create something new from the original material.

The desire was to create a piece that was highly structured, then systematically break it apart and replace the geometric form with organic forms - essentially mimicking the actions of the fungi.

The Hyphae Cone is the result. Hyphae are the branching filaments that make up the mycelium of a fungus.
